At the start of each of 1R–3R, Hotori shows every silhouette of one type not yet opened, with the type attached. The Luminous Goblet is a Food 3×3, and there are only two Food 3×3s: the Nine-Bite Snack Box (240k) and the Luminous Goblet (16.8M).
So if there's no 3×3 silhouette in the round Food opens, there's no Luminous Goblet on this board — stop without using the 9-slot average. You buy the Best set at its set price up front and restock only the items you use, so if you don't use the 9-slot, the 70k restock stays in your pocket. 92% of the boards where Food opened were like this.
If a Food 3×3 shows, use the 9-slot average. Above 260k it's the Luminous Goblet (the Nine-Bite Snack Box is 240k, so it can't push the average above 260k); otherwise it's the Nine-Bite Snack Box.
If Food hasn't opened yet, there are two branches. The standard line, like the all-character Luminous Goblet Run, uses the 9-slot average in 1R to keep your chance at a 1R all-in. The saving branch waits for the 2R and 3R type reveals — on 53% of Luminous Goblet boards Food opens by 3R, but meanwhile another character may find out first with the 9-slot average.
